Training - delivered to nationally accredited standards to club members
The Overland 4WD Club is a member of the South Australian Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs which trades as Four Wheel Drive SA. Four Wheel Drive SA is the peak body for four wheel driving in South Australia and it is affiliated with the National 4WD Association of Australia.
Four Wheel Drive SA is a Registered Training Organisation and through their Driver Training Unit (DTU) they deliver comprehensive Nationally Accredited certificate based training programs.
Club members can be trained in four wheel drive instruction to the levels of Advisor, Trainer, and Assessor. The Training & Assessor Certificates form part of the Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessment package.
Our Club has a good representation of accredited Advisors, Trainers and Assessors who provide members with comprehensive training in four wheel driving techniques and recovery procedures.
Whilst training is not mandatory we do find that most members are keen to undertake at least some basic training and many take up the excellent certificate based training on offer.
Of course you’ll also be able to source advice on all sorts of vehicles, accessories, camping equipment and gain a fantastic insight on places to visit and journeys to undertake.
